Creepiest Kid Drawings Part 4

Kids have wonderful imaginations, but what if those imaginations veered into territory that's a little eerier? What's more, what if those make-believe stories started mimicking or predicting real-life events — with lots of added creepiness?

Some of the kids in these stories who came up with surprising, spooky and downright scary comments may have been influenced by TV or tales they heard from friends and family. But others seem just a bit too convincing to be made up…

The End of the World

On a long road trip through Pennsylvania, one Reddit user was enjoying the countryside views. Then suddenly, their five-year-old son proclaimed, "This will look really cool as a wasteland… You know, after everyone dies." Say what?

User Akummu continues: "He caught us off guard because the car was dead quiet, between songs. We thought he was on his tablet. It really creeped us out. As much as we asked, he didn't elaborate on it." So we know the kid uses a tablet — perhaps he'd seen something on a game? Either way, the spookiness still stands.

Another Redditor's niece was busying herself, as kids do, by scribbling some pictures. The user, herobotic, noticed their niece was drawing a picture of a creepy man with different eye colors. The girl's parents asked her why one of the eyes was gray, and she responded, "Because he can see the storm coming."

Fellow Reddit users commented that the man might be Odin, or Mr. Wednesday from American Gods, who are both popular odd-eyed characters. But wherever the little girl got her inspiration from, it was definitely a creepy drawing and an unsettling thing to say.

Out of the Closet

Redditor QuagmireDP was changing her daughter in front of the closet, which was open. Her daughter kept looking beyond her into the closet and laughing. When the user asked what was so funny, her daughter said, "the man." Well, what man, exactly?

The user asked who the man was. Her daughter pointed into the closet and said, "The man with the snake neck." The mother turned around, and although nothing was there, she was pretty spooked — even though her daughter wasn't. Still, this Redditor was understandably afraid to look into the history of the house to see if anyone hanged themselves in the closet.

Delicious Daddy

One dad on Twitter, @KevinMKruse, posted about how his son said, "Daddy, I'm going to eat you up." That's kind of a cute thing to say — the sort of thing people say to adorable babies. But unfortunately, the child continued with something a little less cute.

"Yeah, I'm gonna cut you into little pieces." If you weren't already supervising what your children watch on TV, this exchange might inspire you to start. Where on Earth did this youngster get this macabre idea?

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

One day, Facebook user Belinda Jamison was enjoying a casual stroll with her son, and they passed by a cemetery. In an innocent tone, her toddler boy said, "My brother is in there." Was he referring to an invisible friend?

Jamison then told him he didn't have a brother, and her son replied, "No, Mama…from before. When the other lady was my mommy." That's definitely the kind of thing we don't expect a toddler to say. We're guessing they probably took different routes on their walks after that.

The Clock Is Ticking

NotTomPettysGirl was watching her son have an adorable moment as he cuddled with his grandmother. But it was interrupted when the boy placed both of his hands on his grandmother's face, pulled her face closer to his and informed her that she was very old. He even said she would die soon.

He then looked at the clock. Some little kids understand that when people get old, the next step is death. But, the delivery of the comment — and the staring at the clock — make this moment quite a bit more sinister.

Fright in the Forest

While enjoying a hike in the woods with his child, Twitter user @MXTracy66 was taken by surprise when, out of the eerie quietness, the boy suddenly said, "The woods demand a sacrifice." The father continued in later tweets to say that he was somewhat concerned that no one else knew where the two were while they were walking.

He also added that he thinks his son was just saying that to lighten the mood. So what do you think about the comment? Are they the words of a cute, cheeky little kid? Or a little boy who detects something strange in the woods?

Double the Creeps

Reddit user pipperfloats was entertaining her two young kids when one said, "Mommy, when you die, I want to put you in a glass jar so I can keep you and see you forever." There is, however, a bit of sentiment to this strange comment — it's nice the child loves his mom so much that he wants to keep her forever.

But perhaps at kindergarten age, the little one doesn't understand the creepiness of keeping a dead person in a jar. His sibling, however, had a more practical comment: "That's stupid. Where are you gonna find a jar that big?"

Mini Mama

One Twitter mom, @showupforthis, tweeted about a time when she and her young son were walking through a store after they'd enjoyed a nice picnic. Her son suddenly grabbed her hand and said to her, with a big smile, "Mama, when you die, I'm gonna make a little you so I can keep you always."

It's kind of similar to the story above. But it takes a sinister turn. The child then said, "Like with your skin and eyes, but probably not your insides." Essentially this youngster described taxidermy. While we don't know his exact age, we're guessing they don't teach that in pre-school.

The Sinister Sign

User @themelaniedione took to Twitter to tell others about how, when she was sitting on her sofa, she experienced a creepy moment with her daughter. She heard a scratching noise, so she looked up to see her daughter, who was holding a marker board that she had written on.

On it, the words read, "I can smell your fear." Okat, that is scary. The user went on to explain that her daughter also reminded her that, when @themelaniedione is old, her daughter will be the one to take care of her, and added, "Statements like that shouldn't sound like a threat…"

No to the New Arrival

One father's young daughter was staring at her new baby brother. After a while, she looked up and said, "Daddy, it's a monster… We should bury it." While this may be a creepy thing to hear, the commenters on Like_I_was_sayin's Reddit post reasoned with the little one's logic.

One comment said, "To be fair, babies look f****** weird," so this could explain why the tot thought it might be a monster. But, that doesn't explain why she thought the best solution was to bury her brother.

Crucified Kitties

When Redditor Tom_Zarek was a boy, his cat, unfortunately, had stillborn kittens. Sweetly, he asked his father if he could make crosses for them. His father agreed, but while he was working, this eerie exchange occurred. Young Tom_Zarek: "Aren't those too small?" Dad: "What do you mean?"

Young Tom_Zarek replied, "Aren't we going to nail the kittens to them?" And his dad, after a silence, responded, "We're not going to do that." This misunderstanding may have come about from the child knowing that Jesus was nailed to a cross, but still, it's a good thing the deceased kitties didn't follow suit.

Next Stop…

Reddit user x_y_zed was minding their own business, taking the bus somewhere, when the bus stopped outside a walk-in clinic. Out of nowhere, a fellow passenger — a little girl — turned to her father and sagely said, "Death is the poor man's doctor."

And that was that. These are pretty wise words for a little girl, and the Redditor later learned that what the girl said is actually an Irish proverb. However, that doesn't make it any more comforting when uttered from the mouth of an innocent-looking child.

A Truthful Tale?

User fearofimpendingdoom on Reddit told this scary tale: "My seven year old told me his old family died in a fire with him and now he has a new family (ours). He told me the names of his siblings and what his parents looked like. What the house looked like. When he died."

The user continued: "I wrote it all down as he talked and after he went to bed, I looked it up. Everything he said matched an old news story. Everything he said fit. I never even heard this news before and it was about a year and a half before he was conceived."

Casual Threats

While scarystrangle was driving along, their first grader in the passenger seat looked over and said, "Dad, when I'm seven, I'm going to kill you. No, wait, when I'm eight." Hmm, so the child not only knew the concept of murder but also seemed to know about premeditated killing. And had it planned out already.

When the Redditor asked how the child was going to commit the act, they said, "I'm gonna drive over your head with a car." Definitely creepy. Thankfully this child had at least another 10 years to go before legally being allowed to drive.

The Plane Premonition

Twitter user @Amani_Marie_ tweeted that her child was drawing a picture of an airplane. When the kid showed her, she explained that all the people on the airplane were trapped. To add clarity, her daughter carried on with her artistic depiction, coloring in some orange flames and plenty of red blood.

She explained to her mom that they were all dead, and no one would ever find them. The kid's age wasn't stated, but this may simply be the work of a vivid imagination — either that or the little girl has the uncanny ability to see past or future events.

Canine Comfort

Most people have heard of guardian angels, but darinfjc told Reddit about his co-worker's daughter, who apparently had guardian wolves. "She always thought the rattling of the pipes in kitchen cupboards [was] 'white wolves' and the sound scared her."

"One day she was sitting at the kitchen table and she said, 'Mom. The white wolves aren't bad… They're our friends!' Her mom encouraged the idea by saying, 'Yes! The white wolves are protecting us. They are our friends.'" Then the daughter added in, "They're our friends, but not the man who crawls on the floor and stands by my bed." That took an unexpectedly creepy twist.

The Ham Hunter

Reddit user RatedRX was a waitress and was perplexed to see a little girl around the age of four, who was repeatedly stabbing her plastic fork into her sandwich, saying, "die die die" over and over. Firstly, we're thankful it was just a plastic fork, and secondly…what?

The Redditor waited until the little girl's mother went into the bathroom quickly, and asked the not-so-cute customer what she was doing. The tot replied with a straight face, "I like to kill things, but mom says I shouldn't. So I picked the ham because it can't scream." Time to back away slowly.

He Sees Dead People

Reddit user Opud posted a comment that said, "When my son was in kindergarten I received a call from his teacher while at work saying he refused to go outside at recess and was sitting there terrified. He said there was a guy named Otie who had brown hair and a brown beard."

"[Otie] kept telling him 'Come here, buddy' over and over while he was playing outside before school. They reviewed tapes and didn't see anyone. Scared the crap out of me that some man was trying to abduct him but I'm sure he either sees ghosts or has a very active imagination."

Have a Heart

The daughter of Reddit user eps421 said to her mother that there was a woman who watched her while she was watching movies in her room. What's more, the creepy woman apparently slept on the ceiling above the girl's bed. Rather than being a friendly invisible companion, the daughter informed the Redditor that this woman didn't like her…and wanted to eat her heart.

The Redditor added that the kid only watched Elmo and dinosaur shows, so she wasn't sure where her daughter got this from. Perhaps the kid may have been channel hopping to more grown-up stations without Mom knowing.

The Sinister Sister

A user named _imtosadforthis took to Reddit to talk about creepiness from her young sister. "A couple years ago, me and my sister (me 11 and her 14) were watching my four-year-old sister. She always said weird stuff but nothing too bad. Anyway, we were watching a movie and fell asleep."

"When my mom got home she started screaming and shaking us to wake up. When we were asleep my mom must have called and my little sister picked up and said 'I had to do it Mommy. I had to kill them. I cut Sissy's throat.' And hung up. It still scares me sometimes."

The Singing Spirit

In a conversation with her sister and husband about loved ones, Reddit user KaiserXI was talking about her father, who had recently passed away. Her brother-in-law grabbed a picture of his mother, who had died in a car crash when he was six, to show the Redditor.

Her toddler niece was also in the room, and when the girl saw the picture, she started laughing. The group asked the little girl what was so funny, and she looked at them and said, "That's my special friend who sings to me." "I still shiver a bit just thinking about it," added KaiserXI.

Bad Babies

User PorkchopSquats posted about her daughter's game on Reddit, saying, "My four-year-old likes to play this make-believe game where she is having a baby and needs it 'cut out' (we have never explained to her what a C-section is)."

"Then the baby always has some sort of deformity, like no eyes or arms or something, and she needs to try again to have a better baby and she is just going to throw the bad one out. My wife and I refused to play this game with her, but now she is drafting her younger sister into it and they love it."

Living in a Bubble

Redditor crayold_lady was driving home with her toddler son. This happened years ago, so children's car seats were allowed in the passenger seats of vehicles. The little boy was sitting there and turned his head to his mother, saying, "I am not from here."

The mom asked her son where he was from. He explained that our world is a bubble amongst countless other bubbles. He said he was from another bubble. While this certainly isn't the creepiest thing on this list, it seems like a pretty deep and profound thing for a toddler to think.

Avoiding the Attic

Redditor thekkillers revealed this story about her sister: "She was about three years old and we were getting ready to go to our uncle's for dinner. She was being fussy and didn't want to get changed so my dad asked, 'Don't you want to go to Uncle Dan's house?'"

"She then responded, saying, 'No, I don't like the man in the ceiling.' We thought it was an odd thing to say but didn't give [it] much thought. A few years later we helped my uncle sell the house and discovered someone had killed themself in the attic back in the '90s."

Freaky Farm

Another Redditor, schuser, shares this creepy story: "My husband is a farmer. One night he asked me to pick him up, so I loaded our two girls up, then four and two, and headed to the field. After a few minutes waiting, my two year old says, 'Mommy, who dat man outside?'"

"I said, 'I don't see a man…' My four year old then piped up, 'He's right outside your door and staring at you. He's scary. He has blood on his face.' I turned the key, rolled the windows up, locked the doors and called my husband to tell him to hurry up!"

Toy Bear Trickery

In her Reddit post, coffeeplot shared her experience of the time when a friend told her about some seemingly supernatural shenanigans in the friend's home. The parents were puzzled to find their kid's stuffed teddy bear in a locked room when the child couldn't have gone in there.

When they asked the child about it, he explained that a window had appeared in the wall between the two rooms and he threw his toy through it. This was probably not the explanation they were expecting. However, this Redditor takes a similarly unlikely guess that the tot had learned to pick locks.

The Mini Murderer

FlutisticallyYours added to a Reddit discussion by saying her cousin had always been creepy, but while tasked with babysitting the kid, a trip to Bed Bath & Beyond to pick up a cutting board stuck out as a particular example. Her young cousin was fascinated by the aisle displaying all styles and shapes and sizes of knives before her.

With a cheery smile, the child turned to FlutisticallyYours and said, "Look at all those murder weapons!" Yikes! We imagine the rest of that babysitting stint was spent looking over her shoulder.

Alien Amigos

User epicnormalcy was the creepy kid, and she shared her story with Redditors, saying, "My mom woke up to the sound of our front door. She grabs a knife to investigate. In the yard-light she sees bitty me walking barefoot out towards the logging road. Me: 'I have to go visit my friends.'"

"Mom: 'What friends?' Me: 'My new friends, they told me to meet them in the meadow.' I ended up explaining to my mom that my new friends talk to me without being near me, that they don't wear clothes and they want to take me on a trip."

Dreaming of a White Garden

Again, this story comes from the former child herself, who seems to have a creepy connection to her mom's dream state. Reddit user rhgarton posted that her mom was dreaming that her own brother was in the garden, and it was snowing, so she was desperately trying to get him to come inside.

The poster was only four years of age at the time and remembers running into her mom's bedroom, waking her up and saying "Mum! Mum! Mum! You've got to get Uncle Paul out of the garden; it's snowing!" without having any knowledge that her mother was dreaming the exact same thing.
